Good day and Kia ora to everyone,
Hadith Qudsi 17:
On the authority of Abu Dharr al-Ghifari (may Allah be pleased with him) from the Prophet (PBUH) is that among the sayings he relates from his Lord (may He be glorified) is that He said:
O My servants, I have forbidden oppression for Myself and have made it forbidden amongst you, so do not oppress one another. O My servants, all of you are astray except for those I have guided, so seek guidance of Me and I shall guide you, O My servants, all of you are hungry except for those I have fed, so seek food of Me and I shall feed you. O My servants, all of you are naked except for those I have clothed, so seek clothing of Me and I shall clothe you. O My servants, you sin by night and by day, and I forgive all sins, so seek forgiveness of Me and I shall forgive you….
It was related by Muslim (also by at-Tirmidhi and Ibn Majah).
[the above is a fraction of the actual hadith]
Following the tazkirah given by Sheikh Rafat after the first half of tarawih session today, he talks about one part of the hadith qudsi 17.
Indeed, all of us are ever dependent of His mercy and compassion. And all we have to do is ask from Allah.
In times where our soul or iman feels as though it is being drifted away and at loss, ask support from Allah, and He will guide it back. In times where we are feeling materialistically or spiritually insufficient (“hungry”), ask from Allah, and He will “feed” you and remove the bother from your heart . And in times where we have no protection or in fear of a deep shame, if you ask from Allah, He will clothe you, and protect your shame as you have return to Him. Despite the piles of sins we have committed, Allah is ever forgiving, the part that you and I play is to only ASK from Him forgiveness. And He will forgive, Insyaallah.
Subhanallah, such is the compassion and mercy of Allah s.w.t.
Thus, given the opportunity to be in this holy month of Ramadhan, seek the forgiveness from Allah s.w.t. and make our repentance as soon as possible. Seek, ask, and He will definitely grant it.
